2022 Subaru BRZ has been revealed with a mixed design!

Overview

The long-awaited next-gen Subaru has been revealed with a whole new design and we say it mixed because it has got rear lights that are exactly similar to that of an Acura NSX. A true sports car that retains the Manual transmission and got a new lightweight design with more horsepowers than the old Toyota GT86. This latest BRZ features an all-new rear-wheel-drive system which is some of the unique strange things in the new BRZ.

Engine

The new BRZ is powered by the 2.4-litre naturally aspirated flat-four cylinder engine, commonly known as the Boxer which produces 228 hp and 184 lb/ft of torque. This engine is bigger than the last generation's Boxer engine by 0.4-litre and that's a bit of an upgrade in the new BRZ.

Transmission

All those power is routed to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission or 6-speed automatic transmission. This new BRZ is one among those modern Japanese cars like Nissan Z Proto that retain the manual transmission.

Performance

The top-notch performance is guaranteed with this new car as it is treated like a real sports car. Yes, the company has done a lot of upgrades to improve the performance both on tracks and roads as well. The first upgrade starts from the new lightweight body as the car now weighs just around 2,900 lbs (or) 1,315 Kg. Another major upgrade is the lowered Centre-of-gravity in such a way that the weight of the car is equally distributed between both rear and front. Perfect weight distribution means better stability. This car also has got new stiffer suspension to that extra sportiness while driving.

As it is a modern-day car, we now get traction and stability control with five different settings. Both the stability and traction can be de-activated fully and the driver can take full control over the car and have some fun by sliding around.

Exterior design

The design on the outside of the car is a lot different from the older cars. This BRZ has got modern LED headlights and rear lights. On the front side, the BRZ gets a big radiator just below the company logo to feed the engine with air. On either side of the radiator, Air intakes are placed just in front of the front wheels.

The rear side of the car is the spot where the mixed design begins as the rear lights exactly similar to an Acura NSX. The new BRZ has got Ducktail spoiler which is also similar to the NSX. It also gets a dual-exhaust system.

Interior design

The design approach on the inside is modern as it looks on the outside. The modern interior includes the all-new 8-inch Infotainment screen and a 7-inch gauge cluster behind the steering wheel facing the driver. The infotainment run's by the latest Subaru's own software called Starlink. The seats are comfier than before that keeps the driver stick back to the seats. The seating position is lowered and Subaru says that the new BRZ will have a better field view. Being a sports car, the BRZ seems to not miss out the practicality with decent boot space. The pedals down are now made of Aluminium in the new BRZ.

Subaru says that the new BRZ will hit the showrooms by the next Autumn. The pricing is not revealed yet by the company.
